Dubai 2012: ICC has extended the time till 24th Aug, Friday to announce the final team squad for T20 world cup 2012 held in Srilanka. ICC was forced enough to extend the time by a week(6 days) by a CCB (Concerned Cricket Boards). ICC Cricket World Cup 2012 | Schedule, Fixtures and Match Timings

The fourth ICC Cricket World Cup (T-20) competition is scheduled on 18 September, 2012. Srilanka is the host for the T20 competition 2012. SL is the first Asian country to host this tournament, the last being hosted by West Indies, England and South Africa.

The Opening is set between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe on 18th September at Hambantota - Mahinda R. I. S Cricket Stadium, Tuesday and the final match will be played on 7th October, 2012 at Colombo - R. Premadasa Stadium.


Altogether there are twelve countries qualified for the ICC World cup 2012, they are sub-divided into four groups with three in each. The participants are:


Group A – England, India, Afghanistan
Group B – Australia, West Indies, Ireland
Group C – Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zimbabwe
